Full Description
The POST Instructor Development Program provides the knowledge and skills to design, develop, and implement training courses. The newly designed course is founded on best practices of evidence-based learning, which include professionalism in training, the neurobiology of learning, active learning strategies, and competency evaluation.

The classroom facilitator course builds on the concepts of evidence-based professional learning, including facilitating classroom engagement through activities, assessments, classroom management, and technology integration. Participants will be given the opportunity to develop a classroom instructional strategy that incorporates skills obtained in the course.

Resources Required
To participate in the course, a laptop or tablet is required with the following capabilities:
-Internet browser capable of accessing the online course materials and submitting assignments.
-Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or similar software capable of drafting documents and slide decks.

This course will require additional time outside of the classroom to complete the assignments. The classroom time in the course is 16 hours, and the assignment portion time of the course is 8 hours.
Reporting Instructions
The class will promptly begin at 0800. Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to check in for an on-time start. Before the course, the participant will be provided credentials to access the digital course workbook and online learning content.
Signup Details
Agency training coordinators can register participants for the course in the Utah Acadis Online Portal (utah.acadisonline.com). As space is limited, enrollment is capped at 36 students on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registrants on the waitlist will be afforded the first opportunity to register for additional course offerings.
